Not a Horse, of Course

Grazing Zebras

The original jailhorse. Or horse with striped black and white pajamas.

The mesmerizing chiaroscuro of the extremely sociable zebra actually evolved as a deterrent to biting flies. Shot at long range with a mere six (yes, six!) megapixel Sony digital camera at full 5X optical zoom at the African Lion Safari in Cambridge, Ontario. It’s the first drive-through safari I’ve been on, and a very interesting experience. Although, when the ostriches came to personally investigate the cars as they drove through, my brother (the driver) spent that time muttering and praying that they wouldn’t peck the car to satisfy their curiosity.

Your comments are like chocolate for my soul ... I can never get enough of them! Bonus brownie points for witty comments! I love a good turn of phrase. :)
