The White-Crowned Sparrow Cometh?

This gallery contains 2 photos. Given the brown markings on the head and its yellow bill, this may be an immature White-Crowned Sparrow, but it also looks like an immature Golden-Crowned Sparrow. This one is sitting almost 30 feet away on the grapevines by the fence.

A crow or a squirrel upset one of the seed bowls this morning, and brought a flurry of feathered visitors to the backyard, including at least four Golden-Crowned Sparrows (of various head patterns), the Fox Sparrow, a male Varied Thrush, a Downy Woodpecker, a Northern Flicker, and one lone female House Sparrow (who is either a very independent female, or a widow).
