It’s a Blustery Day …

This gallery contains 2 photos. … but this Sooty Fox Sparrow–one of three such sparrows who regularly come to roost in my backyard–has managed to find some shelter in the kiwi vines from the gusts that are battering the trees and shrubs.

The grey colouring on its face is evident, as are the chevrons on its breast, and the yellow-coloured lower bill. This is clearly not the same Sooty Fox Sparrow that first came to the seed bowls at the beginning of the month — that one had a much browner breast and much less grey on the face.
