A Hornet? Now You Tell Me!

This Bald-Faced Hornet was photographed pollinating one of our blackcurrant bushes in the backyard. It is part of the wasp family, and it controls pests, but is a pest itself. Had I known it was a hornet, I would have run screaming for the house. Not really.
