Unlike her loud and bold male counterparts, this female House Sparrow is extremely shy around the paparazzi. 15 feet was the closest I could get to her before she flew out of the kiwi/grapevine thicket. She is the first female House Sparrow that we’ve seen since late last year, and only comes to visit every few days.
