In December and early January, poinsettias were the flowers de jour at the Bloedel Conservatory. Orchids are now the spring fashion statement. Photographed on a very busy April 27. The heart of these otherwise white orchids (possibly phalaenopsis aphrodite) is fascinatingly detailed and coloured!
