Waxing about Wonderful Wax Begonias

This gallery contains 3 photos. These wax begonias have flowered all summer long (and still do, well into the middle of September), when all other flowers–including those that have come after the wax begonias–have bloomed and wilted.

In mid-summer, there was still some spacing between the rows of these hardy flowers … giving the collective a cornrow-like layout (photographed on June 18).

This is what they look like after almost three months, still flourishing under the monkey puzzle tree in the Secret Garden of Boundary Bay. Photographed on September 7.

Your comments are like chocolate for my soul ... I can never get enough of them! Bonus brownie points for witty comments! I love a good turn of phrase. :)
