Dianthus Flowers: Two of a Kind

This gallery contains 2 photos. The beautifully serrated petals are a trademark of dianthuses. I believe that these flowers may be of the dianthus carthusianorum (carthusian pink) persuasion. Photographed on June 18 at the Secret Garden of Boundary Bay.

And a lightly purple dianthus for which I don’t know the full Latin name. Photographed on June 7 at the UBC Botanical Gardens.

  1. So… you mean to tell me that you don’t know the latin name of that second variety?
How am I gonna be able to act like I knew it all along if I can’t depend on you for this kind of information?? I mean, I am disappointed, I really am. 😀

Your comments are like chocolate for my soul ... I can never get enough of them! Bonus brownie points for witty comments! I love a good turn of phrase. :)
