Cyclists Galore

Vancouverites (myself included) have a bit of an obsession with biking, and given our mild weather, it’s a sport that can be indulged in three-and-a-half seasons of the year. Virtually every Metro Vancouver municipality has its own biking tour in the summer time. This is Tour de Delta, held in Tsawwassen, with a focus on the lead riders at the start of the race.

Lime green and fire engine red are popular colour choices of biking apparel. But anything that keeps you from getting run down by cars and trucks is an okay colour to wear.

I find improv to be the most exciting part of comedy. In particular, improv that actively encourages audience participation and pull-out-of-the-hat hijinks. It’s totally unscripted and uncalculated nimbleness of the mind and tongue. It’s funny with the fast forward button always pressed on (or should I say, stuck). The window of opportunity to be funny is about 2 seconds long, and the spontaneity factor is off the charts. When unlikely human props and physical shtick are used to unintended effect, the flubups can be just as comical.
