Egads! It’s a Couple of Gadwalls

This gallery contains 3 photos. When my eyes fell on this pair, I thought, “Gee, the male looks a bit odd. He’s not flashy like most males of the avian world tend to be, but sparingly sports colours, and his breast has an interesting fan-like pattern to it.” These are Gadwall ducks.
