This gallery contains 4 photos. The first day of summer 2014 arrived with a picture perfect, cloudless day that was quite windy in the morning … which was just fine with us when we popped by Crescent Beach. The fuzz was on the water (the colourful RCM-SAR, or Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (formerly known as the Coast Guard) dinghy on the left) to patrol Boundary Bay, and ensure that there was no smoke on the water.
Ditto the above … with considerably less colour (as it turned out, one of the pleasure crafts did need to be towed by the RCM-SAR, soon after we arrived).
There were quite a few kayakers and yachters, but surprisingly, no swimmers!
Here’s a watershed moment: seagulls roosting on a sea shed, with a yacht sailing by in the background.
“Coast Guard” ain’t good enough for em, aye? 😀
