No worries about these five musketeers getting away–heck, at least three of them were curious enough about the crowds of people surrounding them to lift their heads and mug for the various digital cameras pointed their way. As exotic as they look with their yellow stripes, the red-eared slider turtle is actually a very common pet turtle. These sunbathing red-eared slider turtles (probably a “donation” of a former pet owner) are long-term residents of Van Dusen Gardens.
