Summer Harvest: Colourful Comestibles (II)

This gallery contains 4 photos. (More or less) natural goodness from the garden, part 2! Flourishing blackberries in various stages of ripening. Photographed on a hot and sunny August 10th afternoon.

Red bell peppers on the salsa (chive/tomato/pepper) plants, which also gave spicy and non-spicy thinner (and wrinkly) red peppers. Photographed on the evening of August 16 with external flash.

A pair of lemons on the Meyer lemon mini-tree … one almost ready, the other still looking like an early lime. Lemons take a long time to ripen! Also photographed in the early evening of August 16.

Freshly picked and washed is the mighty nutritious kale, a perennial favourite in our salads, steams, and smoothies. Photographed on August 9.
