This photo contains 3 photos. Irises have been painted, become national flowers, put on flags, and even made into perfumes and medicines. All flowers here were photographed on June 7 at the UBC Botanical Garden. I have not seen yellow irises before, and these butter yellow ones with light green veining look amazing.
Tricolor irises dappled with purple, white, and yellow, in various stages of bloom. I believe this is iris germanica. I could look at these flowers all day!
And a white iris — a little less showy than the above two, but not by much. 🙂

I think the white iris needs a little love (which is pretty easy to do since I honestly think it’s remarkably beautiful. Which explains the remark.)

non-purple irises certainly opened my eyes (pun intended), as I didn’t think they came in any other colour but purple 😀 😀 😀
